Description

A cheese press compacts the curd in the moulds and expels the remaining whey, giving the cheese a smooth rind, a dense uniform body and a regular shape. It is needed for hard and semi-hard cheeses. Milberg makes manual and pneumatic presses from AISI 304 stainless steel; the pneumatic press holds the set force (up to 150 kg) without operator involvement. We build the press for your moulds and the required number of cheeses.

After pressing you get a quality product with the required taste and characteristics: a firm, smooth rind, a compact and uniform cheese body and a regular shape.

Advantages of the pneumatic press:

Cheese is pressed without operator involvement

High performance (pressing force up to 150 kg)

Reliable and durable in operation, made from high-quality materials

Milberg will build a cheese press to the parameters your production requires. Both pneumatic and manual versions are available.

We also supply other cheese-making equipment: VS cheese vats or double-O cheese vats, press trolleys for cheese and tvorog (quark), and moulding tables.

Price from €400. The final cost depends on the configuration, technical specifications and the tasks the equipment is selected for: volume and capacity, heating type, level of automation and options. Write or call us — our process engineer will select a suitable option and prepare a quotation within one business day.

FAQ

Which press should I choose: manual or pneumatic?

A manual screw press has to be retightened during pressing. A pneumatic press holds the set pressure by itself throughout pressing, so the operator is free for other work and the cheeses come out the same from batch to batch.

How many cheeses can be pressed at once?

As many as your production needs: we build the press for the number, diameter and height of your cheeses. A universal version for cheeses of different diameters is also possible.

What pressing force does the press provide?

The pneumatic press provides up to 150 kg. The force is chosen for the diameter and weight of the cheese: too little force stretches pressing out to a whole day and does not give the required density.

Will my moulds fit?

Yes, we build the press for your moulds. Milberg cheese moulds fit our presses without modification.

How much does a cheese press cost?

The price is from €400. The final cost depends on the drive, the number of cheeses and the mould sizes. Send us your cheese parameters and we will prepare a quotation within one working day.
