Description

A cream separator uses centrifugal force in a rotating bowl to split whole milk into cream and skim milk and to standardize milk by fat content — this is needed for cheese, tvorog (quark), butter and drinking milk. The cream fat content is set by adjustment. The separator works in milk processing lines, cheese dairies and butter workshops or on its own on a farm; product-contact parts are food-grade stainless steel and the bowl can be dismantled for cleaning. Separators with a capacity of 500 L/h and above are ordered most often. Before shipment we test every separator on water for tightness, vibration and noise.

Price from €500. The final cost depends on the configuration, technical specifications and the tasks the equipment is selected for: volume and capacity, heating type, level of automation and options. Write or call us — our process engineer will select a suitable option and prepare a quotation within one business day.

Advantages

  • Precise fat standardization of milk to a specific product recipe
  • High degree of skimming — minimal fat losses in skim milk
  • Product-contact parts in food-grade stainless steel, dismountable bowl for cleaning
  • Capacity selected to your processing volume

FAQ

What capacity should I choose?

We select it to your processing volume. Separators of 500 L/h and above are chosen most often; smaller ones are available for small kits — for example, the modular cheese dairy kit includes an 80 L/h separator.

Open or closed separator — which should I choose?

An open-type separator usually suits a farm: it is cheaper and does not need closed pipework with CIP cleaning. A closed type is installed in lines with pipework and CIP cleaning.

How is the separator tested before shipment?

Before shipment we run every separator on water and check its tightness, vibration and noise.

Can milk be standardized by fat content?

Yes. The cream fat content is set by adjustment, and mixing cream with skim milk gives milk of the required fat content for the product recipe.

How is the separator cleaned?

The bowl is dismountable, and product-contact parts are food-grade stainless steel.

How much does a separator cost?

The price is from €500. The final cost depends on capacity. We will prepare a quotation within one working day.
