Description
Milk pumps transfer milk and dairy products between tanks and line equipment. Centrifugal pumps are used for low-viscosity products — milk, skim milk, cream, buttermilk, whey — and self-priming impeller and progressive cavity (screw) pumps for viscous products (sour cream, kefir, yogurt, ryazhenka). Milberg supplies pumps of the Russian G2-OPA, G2-OPB, G2-OPD, ONTs, ONTs1, ONTsS, NTsS-12/10 and 2G2-OPD types, as well as equivalents of imported pumps (Inoxpa, GEA Hilge, Packo, Jabsco, Bornemann), in food-grade AISI 304, 316L and 321 stainless steel.
When choosing a pump for dairy production (dairy plants, dairy complexes, cheese plants, butter plants, dairy farms), pay attention to the following characteristics:
The pump must provide an even, gentle flow and transfer of the product.
The internal cavity must be well polished, with no roughness.
The design must be simple and suitable for CIP cleaning without dismantling.
The equipment must deliver a high discharge head.
Various types of pumps are used in the dairy industry, depending on the process: centrifugal, gear, vane, piston and other types.
