Description
The ISM shredder breaks down blocks of butter, margarine or cocoa by cutting: knives cut the block into fine shavings before homogenization, melting or packing. The unit is integrated into a line, for example before a butter homogenizer, so frozen blocks can be processed without lengthy defrosting.
Shredding blocks into shavings speeds up further processing and ensures an even product feed to the packing machine or the melter. Working parts and product-contact parts are made of certified food-grade stainless steel. It is used at butter plants, confectionery and food production facilities.
Price from €33,400. The final cost depends on the configuration, technical specifications and the tasks the equipment is selected for: volume and capacity, heating type, level of automation and options. Write or call us — our process engineer will select a suitable option and prepare a quotation within one business day.

FAQ
Why shred blocks before packing?
Shavings feed evenly into the homogenizer, packing machine or melter, so the line runs smoothly, and frozen blocks do not need lengthy defrosting.
How does a shredder differ from a butter cutter?
A butter cutter cuts a block with wires into pieces of a set weight — for manual packing. A shredder shaves the block with rotating knives — for further processing: homogenization, melting, packing.
How does the ISM differ from the block crusher?
The ISM breaks down the block by cutting, while the butter and cocoa block crusher does it by crushing. Both machines can be integrated into a line; we will advise which to choose based on your product and output.
Which blocks are suitable?
Blocks of butter, margarine and cocoa weighing up to 25 kg. The block size is specified in the contract — we will build the unit for yours.
How much does the ISM cost?
The price is from €33,400. The final cost depends on the product, output and line configuration. We will prepare a quotation within one working day.
