Description

A modular dairy plant (mini dairy) is a prefabricated sandwich-panel building with the equipment already installed and piped, plus utilities and ventilation. The module is delivered to site, placed on a foundation and connected, and production starts without capital construction. Capacity is from 0.5 to 20 t of milk per day: drinking milk, sour cream, tvorog (quark), butter, soft, semi-hard and hard cheeses; it can run on raw milk or on reconstituted powdered milk.

Milberg modular plants, mini dairies, milk processing lines and equipment sets are a ready-made tool for starting a dairy business. First, milk delivery and reception in the region are worked out, and options are considered for running on raw milk or on powdered milk reconstituted in powder reconstitution modules. Next, the product range is defined: pasteurized milk, cream, butter, cheeses, tvorog, yogurts, kefir or other cultured dairy products. Pack sizes and packaging type are chosen and the design is decided. Then the dairy process engineer develops the process flow diagram, after which the equipment list, required floor area and staffing are determined, and the plant location or premises are chosen in line with regulations, availability of utilities, transport access and the sanitary protection zone.

A modular dairy plant is a steel-frame sandwich-panel building with utilities run inside, the equipment laid out, ventilation and everything needed for operation.
