Description
The Milberg RM colostrum thawer evenly thaws and warms frozen colostrum in 1.5 L and 2 L PET bottles in 40–90 minutes: the bottles rotate and the temperature is maintained automatically, so the colostrum does not overheat and keeps its beneficial properties. One thawer serves a farm of 50 to 1,200 head, depending on how evenly calvings are spread. The housing and metal parts are made of stainless steel.
Without a thawer, colostrum is easily overheated, thawed too slowly or unevenly — and calves then receive it late or after it has lost its beneficial properties. In the RM thawer the bottles rotate, heating is even and the temperature is maintained automatically, so these mistakes do not happen.
Price from €1,700. The final cost depends on the configuration, technical specifications and the tasks the equipment is selected for: volume and capacity, heating type, level of automation and options.
