Curd (tvorog) and cultured dairy equipment

Tvorog (quark) remains one of the most popular dairy products, and the equipment for making it must deliver consistent quality at large volumes. In December 2021 a production company from Primorsky Krai received a VT-1500 curd vat from Milberg.

A 1,500 L vat represents a serious production scale. It handles the entire core tvorog-making cycle: inoculating the milk, fermentation at a controlled temperature, cutting the coagulum and heating the curd, followed by whey separation. The heating jacket ensures even heating throughout the volume — without local overheating that spoils the texture of the finished product.

In the Russian Far East, where shipping dairy products from central Russia is slow and expensive, local tvorog production is a strong position: a product with a short shelf life beats imported goods both on freshness and on shelf price. Another advantage is independence from disruptions in the supply of products brought in from elsewhere.

The vat is made of food-grade stainless steel and is designed for intensive daily operation and easy sanitation. Shipping across the whole country went smoothly: the equipment was prepared for long-distance transport and reached the customer in perfect condition.
