A family farm in the Tver Region decided to process its own milk into cheese instead of selling it to processors at the purchase price. To launch its cheese line, the farm needed a versatile cheese vat that could handle both young and semi-hard varieties without assembling a line from separate units.
In April 2026 a VS-300 cheese vat manufactured by Milberg was delivered to the farm. The 300 L unit combines several operations in a single vessel: milk pasteurization, addition of starter culture and rennet, cutting the coagulum and stirring the cheese grains, with precise temperature control at every stage.
Before shipment the equipment passed acceptance testing at the factory, and our specialists gave the customer recommendations on temperature profiles for the basic cheese varieties. This helped the farm's cheese maker reach consistent, repeatable batches faster — the key condition for a recognizable product taste.
The 300 L capacity was chosen with headroom for seasonal swings in milk yield: in summer the vat runs fully loaded, in winter it works at partial load with no loss of curd quality. For the farm, this is a way to make a high value-added product and sell it directly — through farm shops and local stores.
