Cheesemaking in Kyrgyzstan draws on long-standing traditions and good mountain milk — all that was missing was modern equipment. In September 2019 a private producer from that country bought a VS-200 cheese vat from us.
The customer processes milk from local farms and makes both cheeses traditional to the region and European varieties. Previously, cheese was made in improvised vessels heated over an open fire: the temperature had to be caught by hand, and consistency depended on the cheesemaker's experience and luck.
The VS-200 changed the whole approach. The heating jacket holds the set temperature throughout the 200-litre volume, the agitator ensures uniformity, and work with the coagulum — setting, cutting and stirring the curd grains — takes place in one vessel to clear regimes. Repeatability has improved fundamentally: a recipe worked out once is reproduced in every subsequent batch.
We built the cheese vat in Yekaterinburg, tested it on the factory test bench and shipped it to the customer with a full package of export documents, handling customs clearance ourselves. Delivery to Kyrgyzstan went as planned, the unit went into operation without any modifications on site — and another country was added to the map of our international projects.
