A manufacturing company in the Tomsk Region decided to launch its cheese workshop with a single versatile cheese vat rather than a collection of separate machines. After working through the technology, the choice fell on the VS-200 cheese vat — a unit that covers the entire cheesemaking cycle in one vessel.
In August 2025 the cheese vat was manufactured and shipped to the customer. The VS-200 takes 200 litres of milk per make: enough to work out recipes for semi-hard and soft cheeses and to supply local retail consistently, without tying up money in excess capacity.
One body combines milk pasteurization, holding the temperatures for adding starter cultures and enzymes, and heating and stirring the curd grains. The automation runs the temperature steps according to a set program, so the cheese comes out with predictable quality from batch to batch — which is the hardest thing to achieve on makeshift equipment.
For the company this is a compact start to its cheese business: one unit, minimal site requirements and the option to expand later — the factory makes larger cheese vats on the same design principles, so scaling up will not require reworking the technology.
