Cutting butter blocks by hand is a bottleneck in any growing butter workshop: it is slow, uneven and constantly produces weight deviations. A production company from Kazakhstan faced this problem as its output increased and in February 2025 purchased a USR-11 wire cutter for butter blocks.
The operating principle is simple and reliable: a 20 kg butter block is placed on the worktable and pushed through a frame with tensioned wires, which divide it into even bars in a single pass. A wire cut does not crush the product or leave crumbs, so the bars are immediately ready for wrapping or further processing.
Interchangeable wire frames make it possible to switch between cutting formats for different types of packaging — from bulk bars for food service producers to blanks for portion packing. The unit is made entirely of food-grade stainless steel, can be dismantled without tools and is quick to clean, which is essential when handling a fatty product every day.
After the unit was commissioned, the cutting section no longer depended on the speed and care of an individual worker: bar geometry and portion weight became predictable, and preparing butter for shipment became noticeably faster. The delivery to Kazakhstan was made with a full set of accompanying documentation and recommendations on sanitation.
