The task brought to us by a production company from Kazakhstan is typical of butter makers entering retail chains: butter blocks must be divided quickly and evenly into retail-size bars. Cutting by knife produces weight variation and a ragged cut, which means direct product losses and complaints from trading partners.
In August 2025 we supplied the customer with a USR-11 wire cutter for butter blocks. Its operating principle is simple and reliable: the butter block passes through a frame with tensioned wires and is divided in one pass into bars of identical size with a smooth, dense cut.
The advantage of wire cutting is that it neither crushes nor warms the product: the butter structure is preserved, the cut looks neat, and the consistent bar geometry simplifies subsequent packing — whether by hand or on a packing machine. One operator now covers a section that previously required several people, and the consistent portion size simplifies finished-goods accounting.
The delivery to Kazakhstan went as planned: the equipment was prepared for transport, supplied with documentation and handed over to the customer within the agreed time. For Milberg, shipments to EAEU countries are a well-established process with no customs complications for the client.
