Milberg's export geography covers the EAEU countries, and Kazakhstan is one of its key markets. A production company from Kazakhstan was upgrading its butter packing section: manual cutting of blocks could not keep up with packing and produced a noticeable spread in bar weight.

In September 2020 the customer received a USR-11 wire cutter for butter blocks. The unit divides a standard block into portion bars in a single pass: tensioned wires give a clean cut without deforming the product, and interchangeable wire frames allow the portion weight to be changed for different packaging formats.

Wire cutting evens out portion weights and therefore reduces under- and overweight packs, which at large packing volumes add up to significant raw material losses and complaints from retailers. The section now keeps pace with the wrapping equipment: the bottleneck between block tempering and packing has disappeared.

The delivery to Kazakhstan followed a well-established procedure: the equipment was prepared for international transport, a full set of documentation was handed over, and the unit was put into operation by the customer's staff following the manufacturer's instructions.
