Accurate portion cutting of butter is where proper packing begins. In August 2021 a production company from Saint Petersburg purchased a USR-11 wire cutter for butter blocks from our factory for exactly this task.
Before mechanization the section worked in the traditional way: blocks were divided by hand, portion sizes were checked on scales, and the excess was trimmed off and sent back for reprocessing. At the volumes a big-city plant handles, this approach eats up both time and product.
The USR-11 does the job in one pass: a frame with tensioned wires divides the butter block into bars of equal size. Unlike a knife, a wire does not crush or drag the product — the cut is smooth and dense, the butter structure is preserved, and the bar geometry stays consistent from batch to batch, which immediately makes work easier for the packing section.
The unit is compact, requires no foundation or complex connection and is quick to clean — significant advantages for an urban plant with limited floor space. The equipment was shipped on the agreed date and fitted into the plant's process chain without any rework of the section. Staff mastered the unit on the very first day — it requires no special training.
