In January 2026 an SPB-50 "Drunken barrel" (tumble) mixer was shipped to the Novosibirsk Region, ordered by a manufacturing company that makes cheeses and tvorog (quark) products with fillings.
The task was specific: to blend spices, herbs, paprika and other additives evenly into the product without destroying the structure of the mass. Conventional agitators cope with this poorly — they either clump the filling or grind the product until it loses its appearance. The "Drunken barrel" works differently: the vessel rotates along a complex path, and the contents are mixed gently by tumbling, without intensive mechanical action on the mass.
The 50-litre capacity makes it possible to process batches for a specific recipe: the company produces several product types in small runs, and fast changeover from one blend to another matters more here than total volume. The working vessel is made of food-grade stainless steel, dismantles without tools and is easy to wash between cycles.
The mixer was manufactured and run in at the Milberg factory in Yekaterinburg and then handed over to the customer with a full set of documentation. The company is now expanding its range of products with fillings without manual mixing — and with the same distribution of additives in every batch.
