Processed cheeses are a high value-added product, and for a small workshop they are a sensible way to diversify the range. In June 2023 a private producer in the Republic of Adygea bought an SP-50 cheese melter from us.
The region is famous for its cheeses, and the customer already had a well-established classic range. The cheese melter opened up a new line: in the 50-litre unit, cheese mass with added emulsifying salts is heated and kneaded to a uniform, smooth consistency from which processed cheese is made — from spreadable to firm and sliceable.
A further advantage of the technology is efficient use of raw material: the melt also takes misshapen wheels and trimmings that previously lost value. For a small producer this means a direct reduction in losses and extra margin from the same volume of milk.
The SP-50 has a heating jacket and an agitator, the body is made of food-grade stainless steel, and washing between batches takes minimal time. We built the unit at our factory in Yekaterinburg, tested it and handed it over to the customer with recommendations on melting regimes — the Adygea workshop broadened its range without a major rebuild of production and entered the market with a new product line.
