Cutting product blocks is a bottleneck in many packing sections: as long as blocks are divided by hand, there can be no talk of consistent line output. A manufacturing company from the Chelyabinsk Region came to us with exactly this constraint.
No standard solution matched its block format and required portion sizes, so the MRM block cutting machine was built to the customer's technical specification. Milberg's design engineers agreed the portion dimensions, the feeding arrangement and the height of the working area to suit the existing line — the customer did not have to rebuild the section for the new machine; the machine was designed for the section.
The equipment was delivered and handed over in May 2024. All product-contact surfaces are stainless steel, the cutting unit is serviced without special tools, and changing over to a different portion size takes minimal time and is done by the operator.
Such made-to-order projects are a familiar way of working for the factory: when standard equipment does not fit a customer's technology, it is designed around it. For the company from the Chelyabinsk Region this meant even portions, predictable weight for every bar and a packing section that no longer depends on the speed and accuracy of manual cutting.
