In butter production there is one key machine — the butter churn. In September 2019 a manufacturing company from Uzbekistan chose the MI-500 for its workshop — a batch butter churn with a working capacity of 500 litres. The company processes cream into sweet cream butter, and two factors were decisive in choosing the equipment: a batch size matching the daily intake of raw material, and ease of maintenance that allows staff to work without constant support from outside technicians. The MI-500 implements classic batch churning: ripened, chilled cream is loaded into the drum, butter grains form as it rotates, the buttermilk is separated, and then the grains are washed and worked into a uniform mass. Process control remains with the butter maker, who stops churning at exactly the right stage, adjusting to the fat content and temperature of the specific batch of cream. In a hot climate this is especially important: modes have to be adjusted by season. Delivery to Uzbekistan was made with a full set of documentation and recommendations on temperature modes. The drum and all product-contact surfaces are made of food-grade stainless steel designed for many years of daily, intensive operation.
