A large dairy plant from Krasnoyarsk Krai was expanding its butter-making section and was looking for an industrial-scale machine using classic batch churning technology. The choice fell on the MI-400 batch butter churn — the top model of the range, 400 litres of cream per cycle. For the plant the batch principle was a deliberate decision: it gives full control over the churning and working stages, the ability to make both sweet cream and cultured cream butter, and flexibility in handling batches of cream with different fat content — something a rigidly set continuous line struggles to offer. The machine was delivered in February 2018. The drum and product-contact parts are made of food-grade stainless steel, and service points are accessible without dismantling — which matters for the plant's washing and sanitation schedule. The MI-400 took its place in the chain between the separator room and packing, meeting the plant's need for a flexible butter section: high-volume products run as usual, while special varieties in the range are made on the batch machine. This division allows the plant to maintain both volume and range flexibility at the same time — a rare combination in butter making, where equipment usually dictates the range rather than the other way round.
