In summer 2023 a manufacturing company from the Moscow Region was expanding its butter-making section: the existing equipment could no longer keep up with the flow of cream, and the company needed a butter churn of substantial capacity together with in-plant handling equipment. In June 2023 we supplied the customer with an MI-250 batch butter churn with a working capacity of 250 litres and a 70-litre process trolley. A trolley is an essential companion to a butter churn of this size: the finished butter grains and butter mass are unloaded into it, and the product is moved on it to the working or packing table without extra handling. The MI-250 covers the full batch churning cycle: cream is churned to grains, buttermilk is drained through a strainer, followed by washing and working the butter mass to the required moisture content. Stage modes are selected for the cream's fat content, so the machine works equally well with sweet cream and cultured cream butter. The company got a section where a single load yields a substantial batch of finished product, and butter is moved around the workshop hygienically, without carrying heavy loads by hand. The capacity reserve allows the company to increase cream purchases without thinking about replacing the equipment for several more seasons.
