Working with milk in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic means relying only on dependable equipment: a service engineer will not travel thousands of kilometres along a winter ice road. A private producer from Yakutia chose its butter churn by exactly this yardstick and in March 2018 purchased an MI-150 batch butter churn from the Milberg factory. The 150-litre machine performs the full butter-making cycle: churning cream, draining buttermilk, washing the grains and working the butter to a marketable consistency. The design is deliberately simple — a minimum of components that might need repair, a stainless steel working drum and straightforward controls that staff can use without special training. For a northern producer with a short grazing season, flexibility matters: in summer, at peak milk, the MI-150 runs daily; in winter, as cream accumulates. The batch principle allows exactly this way of working — in batches of any convenient size. Delivery to the Far East was arranged with reinforced transport packaging. Since 2018 the equipment has been working in one of the harshest climates in the country — and it is deliveries like this that best confirm the safety margin built into our machines.
