Plasticity and uniformity are the two properties by which a buyer instantly judges butter. A dairy plant from the Saratov Region strengthened exactly this stage: in December 2020 a Milberg GM butter homogenizer was delivered to the plant.

The homogenizer handles the final treatment of butter after churning: the product is forced through the working unit, where large moisture inclusions are broken up and the structure is evened out. The result is a uniform, plastic mass with no "weeping" on the cut and with moisture evenly distributed throughout. Adjustments allow the treatment intensity to be tuned to a specific product.

For the plant this means consistent quality from batch to batch: the butter holds its shape better during packing, cuts more cleanly and keeps its appearance longer. In addition, homogenization makes it possible to properly combine butter from different production runs into a uniform, standardized product under a single brand.

The Volga region is highly competitive among dairy producers, and the winner is the one whose product is consistent. Investing in butter treatment at the final stage is exactly such a step: not the most conspicuous equipment in the workshop, but the one that determines how the buyer sees the product on the shelf.
