In May 2022 a small private producer from Moscow launched its own butter-making line, purchasing a batch butter churn from our factory for this purpose. The unit size was chosen for small batches and the limited floor space of the workshop.
Batch butter making is a classic of the craft: cream is churned in a rotating drum until butter grains form, followed by washing and mechanical working of the butter mass. This method needs no complex piping or large volumes of raw material, and the butter comes out dense with a pronounced creamy taste — exactly what buyers of craft products expect.
For the capital's market this is a working business model: demand for farm butter in Moscow is consistently high, and short logistics make it possible to sell the product as fresh as possible — through the producer's own outlets, markets and local shops, where buyers are willing to pay for quality and provenance.
The butter churn is made of food-grade stainless steel and is easy to clean and service: for a small team where each employee combines several roles, the absence of complex automation is not a drawback but an advantage. The equipment was handed over to the customer on the agreed date, ready for connection and operation from day one.
