You can't spoil porridge with good butter

Good-quality natural butter is a natural source of vitamins and minerals needed for brain function, skin hydration and nourishment, healthy blood vessels, immunity and so on. Unfortunately, many unscrupulous producers try to pass off as butter a product that is nothing of the kind. Here is how to make the right choice.

The first thing to look at is the butter standard: GOST R 52969-2008 or GOST 32261-2013 (Russian standards), as well as genuine Vologda butter, GOST R 52253-2004, which is made by only three plants.

It is not enough just to see the words "Butter" on the pack: if you check the standard and see R 52178-2003, you are looking at margarine.

Besides GOST, there are also TU (manufacturer's technical specifications); in this case the packaging must carry the abbreviation STR, meaning "compliant with technical regulations".

Good-quality butter: whole milk and cream, sometimes salt.

Margarine: vegetable oils (peanut, palm, coconut) or an ingredient with the mysterious name "milk fat substitute".

We recommend choosing butter wrapped in foil paper, as it protects the product from sunlight, which destroys vitamins.

And finally, the shelf life: for a natural product it should not exceed 1 month.

Happy shopping and enjoy quality products!
