In February 2024 a VDP-1000 batch pasteurizer was shipped to the Republic of Adygea — a region with a strong tradition of homemade cheeses, where private producers are increasingly switching to professional equipment.
The customer processes milk into cultured dairy products and cheeses, and heat treatment had been the main constraint: the existing vessels could not pasteurize a single batch of the required volume, so the process was split into several cycles and dragged out the shift.
The VDP-1000 removes this constraint: one thousand litres of milk are pasteurized in a single cycle. The vat heats the product through a jacket with a heat-transfer medium, holds it at a set temperature and then cools it to the inoculation temperature — all in one vessel, with mechanical agitation that prevents burn-on and separation. The gentle long-time pasteurization mode preserves the taste of the milk, which is essential for cheeses and traditional cultured dairy products.
Besides pasteurization, the vat serves as a versatile process vessel: it is used to ferment yoghurt and ryazhenka (baked fermented milk), prepare the milk for Adyghe cheese and warm milk before separation. One machine covered several operations at once and became the core of the plant's heat treatment section — with spare capacity for further growth.
