A screw mixer is an unassuming but important part of tvorog (quark) production: it decides whether the product stays tender and crumbly after being mixed with fillings. That is exactly the kind of machine — an MTV screw mixer — that we manufactured and supplied to a private producer in the Sverdlovsk Region in February 2024.

The customer makes tvorog and sweet curd blends in small batches and had previously mixed the product with raisins, dried apricots and sugar by hand. Manual mixing distributed the fillings unevenly and noticeably compacted the curd, destroying the crumbly texture that customers choose farm-made tvorog for in the first place.

The MTV mixer handles the job gently: the screw turns the mass at low speed, spreading the fillings throughout the whole volume without breaking up the curd grain. All product-contact surfaces are made of food-grade stainless steel, and the working assemblies can be dismantled for thorough cleaning and sanitation at the end of each shift.

Supplying a neighbour in our own region is a particular pleasure: delivery from Yekaterinburg took very little time, and start-up did not require sending engineers over long distances. The producer gained consistent mixing quality and freed up staff on an operation that used to demand the most painstaking manual work.
