The Kaliningrad Region has well-developed dairy cattle farming, and the request from a local manufacturing company concerned the youngest animals: calf feeding needed to be mechanized. In March 2020 the customer received a Milberg MT-200 milk taxi.

The mobile 200-litre tank with heating and a dosing unit lets one operator prepare the milk mix, bring it to the right temperature and dispense it pen by pen with an exact portion for each calf. The agitator keeps the mix uniform until the end of feeding, and large wheels make it easy to move the taxi along the calf barn alleys.

Shipment to the country's westernmost region went as planned: the equipment was delivered fully factory-ready, and start-up only required filling the tank and switching on the heating — no installation is needed.

For the farm, the milk taxi replaced heavy manual work with buckets and removed the main risk of bucket feeding — cold milk and unequal portions. Accurate dosing and a stable mix temperature directly support the survival and weight gain of young stock, and therefore the future milking herd. According to the customer, staff mastered the equipment on the very first day, and feeding now takes noticeably less time.
