Mechanizing calf feeding is a typical growth point for a livestock farm: distributing milk by hand eats up staff time and is hard to control. A family farm in the Rostov Region solved this in November 2020 with a Milberg MT-200 milk taxi.
The taxi is a mobile 200-litre stainless steel tank with heating, an agitator and a dispensing dosing gun. The operator prepares milk or milk replacer right in the tank, sets the temperature and drives round the pens, pouring each calf an exact portion with no spills or short measures.
For a southern farm with long rows of individual calf hutches, mobility proved to be the key factor: one fill of the taxi covers feeding for a whole group, and the milk at the end of the route is as warm as at the start, thanks to the heating and the heat-retaining tank.
The result is predictable feeding without variation in portions or temperature, fewer digestive problems in young stock, and staff freed up for other work on the farm. A small investment in mechanization that pays its way every day, morning and evening, all year round. We solve similar tasks for farms across the country — from the south to the Far North.
