A milk taxi solves a task that goes unnoticed from the outside but recurs every day on livestock sites — dispensing milk to calves with accurate dosing at the right temperature. A manufacturing company in the Republic of Tatarstan was looking for a replacement for carrying buckets by hand, which let the milk cool on the way and made portion size depend on how careful the worker was.
In March 2023 the customer received a Milberg MT-200 milk taxi. The 200-litre tank on a wheeled base is fitted with heating and a dispensing gun with a dosing unit: the operator moves the taxi along the feed alley and gives each calf a set portion of milk or mix at the same temperature.
Heating holds the feeding temperature along the whole route, and the agitator keeps the mix from separating. One worker serves a group of calves in a single pass, without buckets or extra trips between the milk room and the calf barn — a routine operation has become faster and cleaner.
For the company's livestock division this has a direct effect on results: stable temperature and accurate dosing are basic conditions for the health of young stock, their proper development and the future productivity of the herd.
